You know when I lived in the States I never heard the word 'burnout,' Now that I live in Belgium I hear it all the time. These are such helpful and practical tips, I think for not just preventing burnout - but also for feeling better as a whole! With winter temperatures I'm spending less time outside and missing that healing power of nature.

That is surprising to me, I guess I would have figured that Belgium had less issues with burnout - at least compared to the U.S. It seems that other countries are always portrayed as less stressful and more laid back, thus less burnout. Thank you for your kind response, I appreciate it! I agree that it can be harder to connect with nature in the winter. I always get cabin fever around February and can hardly wait until we have a day without blowing snow, so I totally get it. Here’s to connecting with nature as often as possible in the coming months.

This is wise and good advice.

The mindset thing is hard because, of course, if we could easily choose to adopt a better mindset just like that, we'd have already done so. I say more about this here.

Thank you, Adam. Mindset can be a loaded word for sure. And it's true that it is easier said than done. I have days where I'm a mindset guru and then there are days where "I fall off the wagon" so to speak. Compared to a few years ago though, I have a much more positive mindset overall just by committing to it. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I will be checking out your article you referenced!
